Stak offers an SMS/MMS text messaging service (the "SMS Program") that allows enrolled users to submit photos of invoices, receipts, and other billing documents by texting them to a designated Stak phone number. By enrolling in or using the SMS Program, you expressly consent to receive automated text messages from Stak at the mobile number you provide, including:
Upon receipt of your document images, Stak's system automatically processes them using AI-powered document extraction, links the extracted data to your Stak account, and initiates the invoice generation workflow.
Enrollment in the SMS Program constitutes your agreement to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You may enroll by providing your mobile phone number through the Stak application or by texting the designated Stak number. You must have authorization to use the mobile number you provide.
Message frequency varies based on your usage of the SMS Program. You will typically receive one automated confirmation reply per document you submit. Additional messages may be sent to update you on processing status or to notify you of issues with a submission.
Message and data rates may apply. The messages Stak sends and the messages you send to Stak may be subject to charges from your wireless carrier depending on your mobile plan. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan and applicable rates.
You may opt out of receiving SMS messages from Stak at any time by replying STOP to any message we send you. After replying STOP, you will receive a one-time confirmation message confirming your unsubscription, and you will not receive any further messages from Stak via SMS.
Please note that opting out of SMS messages does not terminate your Stak account or affect your ability to use other features of the Services. To re-enroll in the SMS Program after opting out, contact us at [email protected] or re-enable SMS notifications through your Stak account settings.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission by your wireless carrier and is outside of Stak's control. Stak is not responsible for any delays or failures in the delivery of SMS messages caused by your wireless carrier or any other third party.
Your use of our Services, including the SMS Program, is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information we receive from you, including your phone number, message content, and document images submitted via SMS. Please review the Privacy Policy carefully.
We use Twilio to power our SMS messaging infrastructure. By using the SMS Program, you acknowledge that your messages are processed through Twilio's platform. We also use AI Service Providers (including OpenAI and Google Cloud AI) to process document images you submit. These providers are contractually obligated to handle your information in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
The Services and all content, features, and functionality thereof, including but not limited to all information, software, text, displays, images, video, audio, and the design, selection, and arrangement thereof, are owned by Stak Technologies Inc., its licensors, or other providers of such material and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in the Services or any content therein. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any of the material in our Services without our prior written consent.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL STAK TECHNOLOGIES INC., ITS AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, SERVICE PROVIDERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OFFICERS, OR DIRECTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICES OR THE SMS PROGRAM, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STATUTE, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We reserve the right to update or revise these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
